But as one disastrous mission leads to another, Evie starts to wonder if she made the right choice. And when Evie’s faerie ex-boyfriend Reth appears with devastating revelations about her past, she discovers that there’s a battle brewing between the faerie courts that could throw the whole supernatural world into chaos. The prize in question? Evie herself. (courtesy of Amazon)
As we pick back up with Evie, she’s still a maturing high school student. Of course, she’s had to grow up about so many things, but having a ‘normal’ life was never in her grasp. It can’t stay normal in a book titled “Supernaturally”, book 2 in the Paranormalcy series by Kiersten White! (may contain slight spoilers)
White brings Evie right back into the world she wanted out of, and unfortunately Evie needs it, because we all know normal IS boring. But book 2 is not boring at all. There seems to be quite a lot going on for Evie, and she’s trying to balance it all on her own. Her first mistake, I imagine.
White keeps the story moving with many missions and creepy twists. I will say I figured out a little of the plot ahead of time, but White is pulling in so many key points into this book. Like we get to meet Evie’s dad? Wow! You can’t help but not put it down.
I thought this was a well done sequel, Paranormalcy wrapped me in a little better, but I am still ready for Book 3. I love Lend, and still can’t figure out Reth, who am I kidding? I'm so hooked.
