Welcome to our blog!
Amy and Jennifer ARE Seduced by Books. We’re both in our 30’s, moms, close friends, work together, and share many of the same interests including our love of reading. Amy grew up in Maryland and has been obsessed with Vampires for as long as she can remember. Jenn grew up in Florida and loves the furry, the fey, and the fangs, in that order. Currently we are both in Orlando, FL. When we can be pulled away from books, Amy loves to bake and Jenn loves to take pictures and scrap.
We decided to create a place where we could direct friends, and acquaintances for, book suggestions/recommendations (Jenn’s been known to talk to strangers on the train while traveling in NYC). Once we started out with a simple page, we evolved from there. Now we are sharing our book reviews, fun comments, recipes, and giveaways. We try to give reviews on new releases, pre-releases, and oldies but goodies that we read, or are reading. We’re going to be adding author interviews for established and up and coming authors soon.

Darkest Mercy by Melissa Marr

Darkest Mercy (Wicked Lovely)The Summer King is missing; the Dark Court is bleeding; and a stranger walks the streets of Huntsdale, his presence signifying the deaths of powerful fey.
Aislinn tends to the Summer Court, searching for her absent king and yearning for Seth. Torn between his new queen and his old love, Keenan works from afar to strengthen his court against the coming war. Donia longs for fiery passion even as she coolly readies the Winter Court for battle. And Seth, sworn brother of the Dark King and heir to the High Queen, is about to make a mistake that could cost his life.
Love, despair, and betrayal ignite the Faery Courts, and in the final conflict, some will win . . . and some will lose everything.(courtesy of Amazon)

Can not believe this series is over, truly wanted longer with this wonderful cast that Marr created...but I'm thrilled Melissa Marr, got in, charged us up, got it done, and wrapped it in a snaztastic package!

Darkest Mercy is the finale to the Wicked Lovely series.  At 5 books and a couple shorts, I was wow'd for sure.  (check the blog for the reviews of the other books in the series)  Marr opened up the young adult genre and shows us that it's not just about high school teens.  These characters stay static over the series, bringing in new twists and turns, and have you falling in love with them like your own friends.

Torn between two loves, Ash has tough decisions to make, and her guys don't make it easy on her...Seth and Keenan retch emotions from her heart and push her up against the wall, trying to stand her ground she has choices on top of choices to make.  Niall is torn between his court and his two loves...how can you live if you have nothing?

As the story concludes the series, true tests are given and some will pass and some will fail.  Marr takes it out of the park with this book.  I was shocked several times at some of the choices and couldn't believe the turns.

  1. Thanks for calling by my blog and spreading the word on my giveaway, thats fantastic.

I have to say, i read up to Fragile Eternity and lost interest in this series, I keep meaning to pick it up again but then a new book comes out that I want to read. I usually say a trilogy is enough for me.

Great review though, I'm a follower now.
