Welcome to our blog!
Amy and Jennifer ARE Seduced by Books. We’re both in our 30’s, moms, close friends, work together, and share many of the same interests including our love of reading. Amy grew up in Maryland and has been obsessed with Vampires for as long as she can remember. Jenn grew up in Florida and loves the furry, the fey, and the fangs, in that order. Currently we are both in Orlando, FL. When we can be pulled away from books, Amy loves to bake and Jenn loves to take pictures and scrap.
We decided to create a place where we could direct friends, and acquaintances for, book suggestions/recommendations (Jenn’s been known to talk to strangers on the train while traveling in NYC). Once we started out with a simple page, we evolved from there. Now we are sharing our book reviews, fun comments, recipes, and giveaways. We try to give reviews on new releases, pre-releases, and oldies but goodies that we read, or are reading. We’re going to be adding author interviews for established and up and coming authors soon.

SCARLETT SCOTT is here - Guest Visit & Giveaway

WELCOME – Scarlett Scott – she writes sexy historical and contemporary romances. She lives with her hero and their adorable but occasionally evil puppy.

Scarlett - - Thanks so much for allowing me to drop in today! I’m thrilled to be here to talk about my new contemporary romance, Reprieve. It’s a story that’s close to my heart. Of course, all my stories have special meaning for me, but this one is a little different. I wrote it during a time when I was trying to find my path the same way Sophie is trying to rediscover who she is in the wake of a life-changing tragedy.

Writing Sophie’s story propelled me through a pretty tough time and I loved every minute of it. In fact, I loved Sophie so much that I didn’t want to leave her world. I’m working on two additional contemporary romance featuring related characters right now.

What makes me tick? Well, I happen to be one of those writers who can’t make up her mind about what she wants to write, so I write everything I can. For now, that means I juggle contemporary with historical romance and mainstream romance with erotica. Sometimes I’m in the mood for a sweeping historical romp and sometimes I’m in the mood for a naughty modern love story. I’ve even been known to try my hand at paranormal romance as well…

But although I like to switch up the genres of books I write, my writing process stays the same. I have a habit of listening to instrumental music when I write. Soundtracks of historical movies are my favorites. At this moment, the Jane Eyre soundtrack is on heavy rotation on my iTunes when I’m working. It’s awesome writing music.

My inspirations come from everywhere—other books, movies, songs, real life events. You name it, I’ve probably found inspiration from it. Coming up with new book ideas is a brain function I can’t seem to turn off. I keep a file on my computer with lists of new book ideas. Usually, I find a new idea I fall for before I get the chance to look through the file, but it’s always there in case I hit a dry patch.

That sums me up as a writer in just a few paragraphs. Thanks again for letting me drop in. I look forward to chatting with you!

SBB - - You are always welcome Scarlett – Thanks so much for the opportunity, we are happy to kick off your tour for your latest release Reprieve.  I (Jenn) am desperately waiting for the next book with these great characters from Reprieve – I too didn’t want to leave her world – Now that you all got to know a little about the way she makes the books – here’s all about her latest –

REPRIEVE:
It’s been a year since Sophie lost her husband and daughter in a car wreck but time hasn’t healed her wounds. A desperate choice leads her to Trevor, the handsome stranger who saves her life and leaves her wanting more than just a few steamy kisses.
Trevor is content living the fast-paced life of a successful NYC entrepreneur. The last kind of complication he needs is a troubled woman like Sophie. But he’s immediately drawn to her even if his bachelor instincts scream for him to run.

As Sophie struggles to fight her growing feelings for Trevor, she’s torn between her past and the future. Somehow, she has to find the strength to finally let go and move on with a man who is everything she never thought she wanted.

AND – if that wasn’t enough to get you on the road to reading this wonderful book – we get to release an excerpt!!!
