I needed my Sookie/Eric fix since True Blood is off season!
With her knack for being in trouble's way, Sookie witnesses the firebombing of Merlotte's, the bar where she works. Since Sam Merlotte is now known to be two-natured, suspicion falls immediately on the anti-shifters in the area. Sookie suspects otherwise, but her attention is divided when she realizes that her lover Eric Northman and his "child" Pam are plotting to kill the vampire who is now their master. Gradually, Sookie is drawn into the plot-which is much more complicated than she knows...(courtesy of Amazon)
Definitely full of action – Harris doesn’t disappoint on that front she delivers a good book as always. The usual Sookie is right in the middle of it, but she’s beginning to put her foot down, and that’s perfect timing! Oh wait – she’s put her foot down in the wrong direction – she’s going to be independent and not talk to Eric about it? Crap! Just what I didn’t want L. Harris does exactly what she should do with this book, made me biting my fingers up to the end and now I am desperate to see what happens in the next one J Let me say – that’s a hard choice when you find XXXXXX in your bed – I would have to think really hard about that!
Sookie needs to get her life going in a direction she can be happy with, but after all the developments in this book, she needs to figure out just what that direction is! I’m not hating on Harris, I give it 3 slices, the twists thrown up in this one and the emotions from Pam alone get some bonuses!
