Welcome to our blog!
Amy and Jennifer ARE Seduced by Books. We’re both in our 30’s, moms, close friends, work together, and share many of the same interests including our love of reading. Amy grew up in Maryland and has been obsessed with Vampires for as long as she can remember. Jenn grew up in Florida and loves the furry, the fey, and the fangs, in that order. Currently we are both in Orlando, FL. When we can be pulled away from books, Amy loves to bake and Jenn loves to take pictures and scrap.
We decided to create a place where we could direct friends, and acquaintances for, book suggestions/recommendations (Jenn’s been known to talk to strangers on the train while traveling in NYC). Once we started out with a simple page, we evolved from there. Now we are sharing our book reviews, fun comments, recipes, and giveaways. We try to give reviews on new releases, pre-releases, and oldies but goodies that we read, or are reading. We’re going to be adding author interviews for established and up and coming authors soon.

Reprieve by Scarlett Scott

Blush sensuality level: This is a sensual romance (may have explicit love scenes, but not erotic in frequency or type). It’s been a year since Sophie lost her husband and daughter in a car wreck but time hasn’t healed her wounds. A desperate choice leads her to Trevor, the handsome stranger who saves her life and leaves her wanting more than just a few steamy kisses. Trevor is content living the fast-paced life of a successful NYC entrepreneur. The last kind of complication he needs is a troubled woman like Sophie. But he’s immediately drawn to her even if his bachelor instincts scream for him to run. As Sophie struggles to fight her growing feelings for Trevor, she’s torn between her past and the future. Somehow, she has to find the strength to finally let go and move on with a man who is everything she never thought she wanted. (Courtesy of Amazon)

From the first chapter – Scarlett Scott has you hooked on the sparktacular chemistry between Sophie and Trevor.  Proven in this story that when two are meant to be together, their bodies and hearts know.  I was completely swallowed in Sophie’s world.  A few times I wanted to reach in and shake her but as the story unfolds those stubborn points just add to the emotional ride.

As Sophie struggled with losing her husband – she wasn’t going to make it – Trevor has been her hero more times that just one.  Scott keeps the plot building as she adds a few ‘uh-oh’ moments.  Sophie’s strong-willed stubborn streak is a challenge, but our Scott pulls Trevor over the challenge.  There’s a little bit of everything in this book, humor, romance, and of course a challenge for our love birds.

I still haven’t wanted to leave this world.  We have Scarlett Scott joining us tomorrow and she’s saying she hopes to write more books about some of our key characters in this series.  I’m hoping for Marcus – I love his intuitive character!

I'm giving this 5 slices - it's not my normal paranormal genre, but that's what makes it even better - for contemporary romance it's at the top! Held me in it's tight grip the whole time.  Come back tomorrow for Scarlett's visit and some extra insight - as well as the giveaway :)
